Q. WHERE IS LOOK UP LODGE?
TRAVELER’S REST, SC.
Q. WHAT ARE THE DATES?
July 6-11
Q. WHAT TIME IS DEPARTURE ON JULY 9TH?
Please arrive at Lanier Hills Church no later than 10:30am. Our goal is to depart by 11am.
Q. Where will we meet at on departure day?
We will gather in the Main Building.
Q. WHAT TIME WILL WE RETURN ON JULY 14TH?
We will return at approximately 2pm. We will communicate with parents and guardians on when we have departed.
Q. WHAT IS THE COST?
$415. This amount covers everything a student will need for the entire week.
Q. HOW DO I PAY?
Download the “Secure Give” app, select Lanier Hills Church and put the student’s name and Look Up Lodge in the memo! If you decide to pay with Check or Cash, just turn that into Dan or the Church office.
Q. REFUNDS?
ONCE WE PURCHASE SPOTS FOR THIS EVENT, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REFUNDS. IF YOU NEED TO DROP AFTER SPOTS HAVE BEEN SECURED WITH LOOK UP THEN THE BEST THING TO DO IS FIND ANOTHER STUDENT TO FILL THE SPOT YOU PURCHASED. WE WILL HELP DO THAT. IF THAT CANNOT BE DONE, THEN THE TOTAL AMOUNT IS STILL DUE.
Q. PAINTBALL?
Paintball is $10 per player, per game. Players pay directly at the field with cash only. You have to be at least 12 years old to play. Look Up Lodge provides all paintball equipment. Please leave yours at home.
Q. FISHING?
Catch and Release Only. All guests are welcome to fish anywhere around the lake, except around the swimming/boating docks. Please bring your own fishing pole and bait.
Q. BALL COURT ACTIVITIES?
Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, GaGa ball, Ping-Pong, Corn Hole, Carpet ball, 9 Square In The Air, Soccer. Always open and available to all: equipment is kept by the basketball courts in our equipment shed and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis; please return equipment to the shed when done playing.
Q. What are the Theme Nights?
Wednesday "Sun" day (beach themed)
Team Thursday (any sports team)
Walt Disney Friday (this can also include any Marvel or Star Wars-themed ideas)
Theme Saturday (this year's theme is LUL TV! Feel free to dress for any favorite TV Show)
Packing List:
Shorts and t-shirts and underwear (Clothes for 5 days!)
Bathing suits (one pieces preferred for ladies. NO bikinis)
T-shirts and shorts to wear over bathing suit for zipline and swing.
Easy on/off shoes for water play and wet games.
Tennis shoes for the rest of the time.
Sunscreen
Bedding- TWIN sized bunks. A twin fitted sheet with a blanket, comforter
or sleeping bag and a pillow.
Bible and notebook/pen
Small drawstring bag to carry Bible, notebook and pen
WATER BOTTLE (It’s hot, you’ll carry this with you at all times)
Shopping bags for wet and/or dirty clothes
Towel/washcloth for shower
One beach towel for water play
Shower supplies
Toothpaste/toothbrush
Deodorant
Light poncho or rain jacket
Rainy day games
Money for camp store is optional (Look Up Lodge has a canteen where they sell shirts, bottles, candy and other things.)
Medications in original pill bottles inside Ziploc baggie with name and
clear instructions.
Wristwatch
Things you will NOT need to pack:
Cell phones (Students are leaving their cell phones at home with their families. Do not bring them and keep them in luggage. If parents need to get in touch with a student they may contact any leader listed at the bottom of this page. Leaders will collect any phones that have been brought.
Dress Code
Here are some tips and reminders while you pack for Camp.
Dress modestly!! The shirts and shorts you wear need to cover all of your parts! If your tops and bottoms don’t cover bra, stomach, or bottom areas — you will be asked to change. You will want to be comfortable so choose things like athletic shorts, and t-shirts. Look Up does not allow tank tops. Chacos and tennis shoes are highly recommended footwear.
